The Fine Print

Contractual Type Stuff, ie the fine print.

Please be aware that up to 10 of your photos will be used for promotion of my services, and will be watermarked as such.  This will not affect the photos that are delivered to you, but will show up on my blog and professional site.  They may also be used in print advertising but only for promotion of my services as a photographer.  General wedding photography contracts state that the copyright remains with the photographer while this holds true for my contracts, by supplying you the original and processed copies of your photos, I am releasing the use of your photos to you for your use as you see appropriate.

Your privacy :

Your privacy is important to me, and all appropriate steps will be taken to protect it. All online references to yourselves will be by first name only, no reference to any other personal information will be at any stage made publicly available.

Your photographs:

The photographs made available to you via the online photo album will be available for an undetermined period of time, and can be withdrawn at any stage at your request, with the exception of those used for adverting.

As stated before, all photographs released in processed form, will also be released in RAW (negative) form. All JPG's will be at 100% (no compression level). All camera sensors are different, and your photographs may be of differing sizes depending on the camera used. Care must be taken by you, when printing or further processing of these images, as the crop might be different depending on the print media.

Your photographs will be kept by me on encrypted media to protect these images in the event of theft. Your photos will also be kept for an undisclosed period of time, should you in the future lose your photographs, then they can be re-issued to you, as they were originally issued.

Information To Supply To Me

The procedure moving forward is to let me know a few things about your special day.
Don't worry if you do not know the answers right now, you can let me know at a later
date. The important thing is to lock in the date.  Things I would need to know would
include:
* The location of the service.
* The location of the reception.
* The type of service you are planning to have, church, park, tea ceremony, etc.
* Will you be wearing a white wedding dress, a traditional dress such as a kimono or both.
* Will you have a videographer making a video of your special day.
* Any special events that will happen during your wedding, a dog carrying the ring for example.
* Will there be a theme to your wedding, dressing up as ultraman, starwars characters, etc (you might think strange but it happens)
* Do you have any locations you would like to have photos at.
* Is there anyone you need to make sure you have photos with, a grandmother who has flown over for the wedding for example.
* Is there anything that cannot be photographed due to tradition, superstition or respect.
* Do you want photos taken during the ceremony.  Some people prefer that most of the ceremony is free of the shutter noise. Others like
photos of the reactions to what is going on.
** Normally the exchanging of the rings, and kissing the bride is always photographed.
* Does where you are getting married allows flash photography.
* Do you have a particular style of photography you prefer, posed, candid, combination of both, or other.
* Do you want photos of the bride getting ready, and from how early. Some people go from pyjamas to wedding dress to show the full transformation, others it is just the finishing touches to the make-up and hair, the putting on of the wedding dress, and leaving the house.
* Do you want pictures with the groom getting ready.
* Will you be travelling in a professional car (limo, sports car, horse and carriage).
* Size of the wedding, small, medium, large, massive

My Services

In brief my services for the day may include the following:

5,7 or 9 hours of shooting (depending on what sort of package you decide to pick)
Locations :
* Brides house (bride getting ready)
* Grooms house (Groom getting ready - time permitting)
* The venue of the wedding ceremony , for example the Church, the park, etc.
* Depending on time, various locations around Melbourne.
* The reception to the cutting of the cake.
* Time permitting any family shots you may also want.

What you get:
* Depending on the time 100-500 full quality JPG files.
* You also get the same number of original RAW camera files (these are like digital negatives of your photos). This allows you to do any post processing you desire, while retaining the full quality as it came from the camera.
* Web published photos of some of the better shots of the day, without copyright, that you can share with your friends, or to access the photos before the DVD's arrive.
* All will be colour corrected to ensure that you are happy with the results.
* A few will be touched up in photoshop, airburshed, or post produced to give a more dramatic look.

Optional:
* "Meet the photographer" session. This is a free session before your wedding day where we can meet, and you can get an idea of my shooting style, and the results you will get. It is generally a walk around Melbourne city, with a few photographs in a few different locations, but if you have a place you would prefer, St Kilda beach for example, this is negotiable. These are also provided to you for free, on DVD.

The other services I offer are:
* Skin smoothing, and light air brushing. I do not generally do a lot of this, but I find it is more requested in asian weddings than western weddings. These services come at a price.

At the end of the day, I can shoot whatever style you like. I fully understand that certain photographers have certain styles, and should you not see what you like, then I am more than happy to recommend come other photographers to you. Also in the event that I am booked out on the weekend you are planning, I will also recommend some photographers to you.

You will also notice that I have not mentioned albums, I am not a big fan of them, I supply you with the photos, and the negative that you can then create your own album using one of the many sites available (I can recommend a couple of pro places, or you could even use Teds for example). My service is for the budget conscious person, I am not out to rip people off. Basically you are just paying for my time to shoot, no fluff on albums.

One complaint I hear from most people is they pay a lot for an album, look at it once or twice and that is that. I do know people who can help you with albums, but I make no guarantee about the price they will charge.
