Club Russia - Melbourne

Filling in for a friend who was interstate, Club Russia presented an interesting lighting situation. No 'disco' lights, and only some pale lighting, this restaurant come nightclub was definitely a challenge.

The only mandate for the night was to maintain the colour. Using two different styles of exposure I ended up with a great set of images.






The second style was slow shutter speed, and bounced flash to stop motion as the shutter was closing. At 1/10 of a second, created a little trail to add the effect of motion.

Flaunt Fridays

Flaunt Nightclub in Southbank, Melbourne, Vic, Australia has an Asian Night every Friday,  I was asked my a friend to go and assist at this shoot.  Not having been to a nightclub for a long time, I jumped at the chance.

Melbourne Zombie Shuffle

An annual even in Melbourne Australia, it attracts many of the reluctant Living Dead.  This year saw many zombies, as well as a few movie zombies too.

Port Douglas

Having just returned from Port Douglas, in Queensland Australia, I did not find much inspiration to photograph the landscape, but I did get up early one morning to capture this sunrise.

Grampians Photo Trip

The weekend of the 25-26th of April 2009, a group of photographers, makeup artists models and other friends just wanting to tag along went for a trip to the Grampians.  It was a wet and cold weekend, but despite the weather being against us we did manage to capture some great shots.

Melbourne Pillow Fight 2009

Representing a few of the photos from the Melbourne Pillow fight, I have spent a little bit of time on them to bring out the darkness of a pillow fight. All of the editing is done in lightroom, with the watermarks being added in photoshop as the last step.
